Otara Tyre intro

What Is a WOF?

A Warrant of Fitness (WOF) is a regular vehicle inspection required by NZTA to ensure your vehicle is safe to drive on New Zealand roads. It’s not just a legal requirement — it’s a way to protect you, your passengers, and everyone else on the road.

What We Check in a WOF Inspection

Our certified WOF inspectors check all safety-critical components, including:

  • Tyre tread and pressure

  • Brakes (pads, lines, operation)

  • Suspension and steering

  • Lights and indicators

  • Wipers and washers

What If My Car Fails the WOF?

No stress. If your vehicle doesn’t pass, we’ll clearly explain the issue and give you a quote for the repairs. In most cases, we can fix the problem and retest it — often the same day.
